Maharashtra OKs property tax waiver for houses of up to 500 sq ft in Mumbai

MUMBAI: The state government on Monday cleared a bill to waive property tax on residential properties of up to 500 sq ft in Mumbai.

The exemption will be implemented with retrospective effect from January 1, 2022. Meanwhile, a delegation from the MVA, including deputy CM Ajit Pawar and PWD minister Ashok Chavan, met governor B S Koshyari for the second time in four days and urged him to approve the schedule for legislative assembly speaker’s poll on March 9.
